The JEI is the national federation for esports in Jamaica. We aim to engage our youth by developing competitive video game skills, encouraging fair play, building team spirit and establishing Jamaica as a recognized member of the global esports community.
As the nationally recognized body we create the guidelines for esports activities, support entities who wish to get involved in the industry. We also engage local and international partners to bring support and expertise to our members.
Dr. Birdz is the name given to our National E-Sports Team. The name was selected to pay homage to the national bird and the mascot design shows power and strength. Every year we select players to represent the country in one of many prestigious international events.
The Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) became a member of the IOC in 1936 and has been the National Olympic Committee of Jamaica. As the official representative for the Olympic movement, the JOA has been a builder of legends since 1948 when we participated in our first Olympics in London.
The International Esports Federation is a global organization based in South Korea whose mission it is to have esports recognized as a legitimate sport. Founded in 2008 the IESF brings together member federations from across the world to compete at the highest level.
The Global Esports Federation is a non-governmental organization that convenes the world's esports community. It was established in 2019, and is headquartered in Singapore, where it is a registered society under the Singapore Registry of Societies.
The National Esports League is your ultimate arena to hone your skills, showcase your talents, and rise to fame on the grand stage. Since our inception in 2022, we’ve been on a mission to ignite and expand the esports community in Jamaica, creating thrilling experiences for players, fans, and sponsors alike, in a way that celebrates the passion and skill that defines the world of competitive gaming.
